boogeyman chapter 1

Chaper 1
POV Thomas Jones
“aww but I don’t want to go to bed” I tell my mom but she is persistent “come on honey I know your tired, moving in day is always a busy one” we just moved into a new house.  well it’s really some old property but I oh well I am not tired, but mom always wins this argument so I am in my new room it’s got a star decorated roof and blue walls with a wooden floor on the ceiling is a large vent then there’s a window that looks out into the block and facing my bed is my new closet and finally there is the door that leads out into the hallway. Mom and dad are awesome they already have all my toys unpacked and in my room so I am in my bed trying to fall asleep. Trying, and failing miserably. In my tossing and turning my foot brushes against something I pull off the covers to investigate and I find a tape recorder, another tape recorder? This makes two including the one down stairs and this one has a tape still in it. I press play and prepare to listing to some song thinking maybe who ever used to sleep here might have had trouble sleeping  and had this with a tape that contained songs to help them sleep. “IF you are listing to this I sure hope you aren’t planning on sleeping in this room.” Says the voice of a girl who doesn’t sound that much older than me causing me to immediately bolt straight up and on edge. What? Why am I not supposed to sleep here? Who are you? What’s going on!? “I am Alicia and if you have unfortunately only stumbled across this tape in the dark” like I have and I am so confused but see continues and that cause me to only get more nervous “it’s probably watching you right now” she pauses for a moment while I begin to panic. Its watching me what is IT! Then she starts getting emotional but continues talking “I’ve tried telling people that the boogey man. He got my sister” What! It’s the boogey man! He Killed your sister! This is all terrible!! While my mom might not believe in the boogey man I do and now he is coming after me! but it gets worse as Alicia continues “no one will believe me they won’t believe you either! Trust me you’re going to have to learn to fight this alone, there a flashlight and some batteries under the floor board if you haven’t already found them, it’s the only thing they’re scared of” I lean over my bed to the floor board and push on it, sure enough it moved and there was a flash light and enough batteries for a full charge, Thanks Alicia. As well there were some notes in as neat a writing someone of my age could write. The boogeyman has 4 main ways of entering tour room the window the closet, the door and the vent lisin for the unique noise made by each area but he will become quitter as the night go on. Alicia the next note said running low on battery life? Sometimes you just have to take a risk looking under the bed will yeld either spare battery’s, nothing, or much worse the boogeyman waiting for you. Alicia. Great, good to know the final note was for later so I check my clock it was 12;00 so it begins.
